How does "LAN GateKeeper" work?
When computer is connected to your companyfs LAN, it asks for an IP address by sending request over the LAN to DHCP server. When DHCP receives the request, it issues an available IP address. When computer receives new IP address, it broadcasts over LAN that it will use this IP address. Among with the IP address it broadcasts, computer also broadcasts it MAC address. When "LAN GateKeeper" detects the MAC address is not in the authorized MAC address list, "LAN GateKeeper" blocks the IP DHCP server issued by broadcasting that the IP is already in use. When there is a conflict, computer cannot use the IP address it was given, thus protecting the LAN from authorized access.
With DHCP Server

"A" requests IP address from DHCP server
DHCP grants one IP address to "A"
"A" broadcasts new IP address to the network
"LAN GateKeeper" challenges and blocks the IP from being used by "A"
Without DHCP Server
Unauthorized computer ("A") is connected to your with staticIP address
"A" broadcasts new IP address to the network
"LAN GateKeeper" challenges and blocks the IP from being used by "A"
